Meet TreMon Jamal, a DJ whose career reflects both longevity and range. Originally from North Carolina, TreMon was raised in Wilmington and began DJ’ing at the age of 13. Known early on as DJ TM, he was already on the air by 15, earning a spot as a mixshow DJ on Coast 97.3 and laying the foundation for a career built on skill, discipline, and a deep understanding of music and crowd dynamics.

TreMon has since built a reputation that spans radio, nightlife, private events, and international stages. He has served as a mixshow DJ on 102 Jamz and DTLR Radio and has performed across Jamaica, Mexico, St. Lucia, and the Dominican Republic. His journey also includes living and DJ’ing in Los Angeles, where he sharpened his sound and expanded his reach before returning to North Carolina. He is currently based in Charlotte, bringing a global perspective to every room he enters.

From 2020 to 2023, TreMon held the title of #1 HBCU DJ, a distinction that speaks to both his influence and consistency. He is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and the University of Miami, where he completed a Master’s degree in Live Entertainment Management. His professional foundation is further reinforced through his membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Core DJs, the largest DJ organization in the country.

TreMon’s résumé also includes high-level brand and cultural partnerships. He has DJ’d in collaboration with DeLeón Tequila and has been selected as a DJ for the NAACP Image Awards on three separate occasions. His client list includes globally recognized brands and organizations such as Nike, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Red Bull, Bacardi, BET, Patrón, Jordan Brand, and the Charlotte Hornets, as well as appearances for national figures including Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders.
